Privacy / Android pilot

Always near.
Never watching.

Kesva is designed to help people care for each other without turning a phone into a window on someone’s private life.

Current-stage note. This is a plain-language overview of the Android pilot, not a finalized legal privacy policy. Kesva’s data flows and this page must be reviewed again before a general app release, especially as cross-device sharing is completed.

Consent comes first.

The person using Kesva should know the app is on their device and agree to use it. The family invitation is not permission to observe another adult without their knowledge.

Kesva is not an emergency, medical, diagnostic, or location-tracking service.

What family does not see.

Kesva does not read the content of someone’s texts, calls, email, browsing, or other apps. Optional Android phone-time reflections are for the person using that phone; they are not a report for family members.

Phone-time history stays on that device and can be turned off and erased there.

Location is a choice.

The person can choose to share a single location in the foreground. Kesva asks permission then and does not run continuous background location tracking.

During the pilot, a saved location message should not be assumed to have reached another family device until cross-device delivery is complete.

Where information lives today.

Accounts, family circles, and invitations use Kesva’s cloud service. Much of the daily information — such as messages, care records, notes, and reminders — remains on the device in the current pilot. We are building reliable family synchronization; that work will change what is stored and processed in the cloud.

Optional Ask Kesva requests go through a secured server to an AI provider. A request may include the question and relevant day context. The private Android phone-time history is not included in those requests.

Your choices.

  • Choose whether to use optional phone-time reflection and Android Usage access.
  • Choose if and when to share a one-time location.
  • Leave a family circle or request account deletion.
